A Night to remember at Rodizio! On the 1 April a small group of the studio (24 guest) went to Rodizio. Fot those of you who have never heard of Rodizio...it is a Bralizian restaurant with a dance floor, great food and on weekends, also have a 15 min latin dance show. It was a fun night out of dancing, eating and socializing. At times looking at some of the other guest celebrating birthdays and wondering if they’ll remember tomorrow what they’ve done. The floor get very crowded on the popular songs, but there was still enough songs to dance and enjoy the vibe that the Latin music mixed with house music creates. Thank you to everyone that attended, I enjoyed it very much and is looking forward to the next Lifestyle event.

Sokkie dance evening On Saturday evening we alll arrived with big jackets and scarffs on to help keep the cold out. But not even the cold could keep us from having a great evening. On arrival the hall was well decorated by Rachelle and on every tabel there were platters of tasty snacks courtesy of Karin From Super CD. We all settled in, had some wine and snack before we moved onto the dance floor in anticipation of learning the passionate Argentine Tango. We started with the basic movement, no style or character, just to get the feel for this very intimate dance. The students mastered the basic movement quickly and was dancing to music before I could say: slow, slow, quick quick......I then introduced the students to the character of the dance...the close contact and the feeling of the music....the combination of the steps and the style and character is what makes this dance so great. After the class the students all looked like Argentine tango dancers....I could see the passion in their eyes. Then watching you all do the Locomotion took me back a few years to some great memories. Thank you to Karin from Super CD for all the assistance and to Morne from Big Boy Records for bringing Kobus Muller around to entertain us with his songs. Well done to the dancers from Can Care with your solo performances...we enjoyed it very much. The rest of the evening was spent on the dance floor, dancing the cold away and creating some unforgetable memories. I am for sure looking forward to the next event, I trust you are too.

Burn the floor! On the 27 July, 42 of our students went to see, the world renowned, stage production. It was a great show, with talented dancers and awesome vocals. It was a great evening and I can’t wait for the next one.

Lifestyle event - Dinner and Dance We decided to go and see what Cantare is all about. From arrival you get a feeling of class and romance. The students started arriving from 7h30 and we enjoyed some refreshments. The atmosphere in Cantare is truly amazing. We had a succulent meal and some good wine while listening to the live performance of the evening. Then the dancing started....the students went all-out. At about 10 o’clock the dance floor was cleared and a belly dancer made her way to the floor. For the next 15 min she mesmerised the guests with her dancing. We where all ask to join her in the end and some of the students showed there belly dancing sides coming to live. We continued dancing till late into the night. I believe all the students enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next one.
